It's PROM Season!!!

I LOVE what I get to do! I got a phone call today from a young man who wanted to take his girlfriend to Prom, but knew she couldn't afford a dress. He was calling to see if I had dresses her size. I do!!! Hopefully she will find one she likes. I'm always needing more for a better selection though - Look around - what do you have? who do you know that may want to help? Remember, this is basically a FREE service - girls get 100% of their deposit back when they bring back the dressed cleaned and in good shape. This is the biggest dance of the year and every girl wants to feel like a princess.

I love this! Im positive its about my boyfriend.. we want to come tomorrow if possible do you have appts?? Size 16 in stock right?

About the Program

Dresses, Dresses, Dresses - you have one or you don’t

It’s a question many ask: It’s either “What do I do with all these dresses my daughter(s) had for dances and will never wear again?” or it’s “How can I afford to get a dress for my daughter for the dance?” There’s a solution to both these questions.

I collect formal dresses of all sizes and styles to let girls borrow for dances (I even have some wedding dresses). Some girls can't afford to buy or rent, others just can’t find a dress for whatever reason. We have all gone through a time when things are tight. This project is designed for all of us in the community to help each other. So whether you need to borrow a dress or you have dresses sitting a closet collecting dust that could be donated, this project is about you.

I want every girl to be able to go to dances and feel beautiful. There will be no questions asked as to why you’d like to borrow a dress. Just come :) and have fun trying on dresses.

How to Borrow a Dress

Be prepared to leave a CASH deposit ($60 long dresses, $30 for short dresses, $10 slip, $5 shrug or shoes)
Bring back the dress professionally cleaned according to labeled directions - usually this means dry cleaned.
The deposit is 100% refundable as long as the dress is returned in the same condition it left in.
Clients are given one week after the date of the dance to return the dress. If not returned by that date, they will be required to pay a $5 late fee for every week past that date.
***In turn, girls/parents are asked to help build the program in whatever way they can - it could be as simple as $5 to go towards dress repair and updating or donating other dresses or similar items.***

Donations

This program runs on donations. Do you have dresses you’d be willing to donate? Contact me at the above listed email or phone number to arrange the best way to donate.

What donations are needed:

* formals of all kinds: including prom, bridesmaid, choir and wedding dresses. I update and alter those dresses that need it.

*wedding type slips, sashes, and shrugs

*anything with rhinestones that can be used to embellish plain dresses - ie brooches, earrings, necklaces, etc.

*accessories/shoes to go with the dresses: gloves, necklaces, etc.

*experienced seamstresses
